There has been a lot of negativity lately on Twitter and I'm just not about that to be honest, for sure I'm all about people having opinions etc but when it comes to whinging on the daily it just drains me tbh. I am no where near as connected on social media any more purely for this reason, I was thinking why should I take away the joy from me because of others so I'm not going to lie if there are culprits that just post negativity all the time i'm just going to be unfollowing. If this were 2 years ago there would be no way I would say something like that out loud but I like to stay as positive as I possibly can even when I'm having a really crappy day. 

I have quite a stressful job so staying positive can be somewhat of a challenge when faced with difficult situations that you just can't stay calm about, I am also a born worrier so I will worry myself sick about the slightest things and self doubt on the daily. One thing I am amazing at is having a game face, it has been mentioned many a times in work as to why I am not an actress haha as my face is as cool as ever when inside i am dying. 

So... tip 1 Have A Good Game Face honestly this is something that it either comes naturally to you or it doesn't and I am just lucky enough that it's natural for me or perhaps years of practice, who knows lol. This helps me stay positive sooo much even though i am panicking like mad inside or enraged having that positive game face can take over my whole attitude and I think ya know what it's not that bad or yeahh I can do this. Try it :) 

Surround Yourself with Positive People this is quite common sense but like me I would worry about not wanting to upset anyone etc but now I'm just like nahhh and distance myself from negative people or negative situations. This has come with age for me having the confidence to do this. 

Take Time For You whether you work long hours or are busy studying all the time, take some time out for yourself and treat yo self. This doesn't have to mean spending money but maybe watch that Netflix series you've been wanting to watch for ages or treat yourself to a relaxing bath, just focus on you and think positive thoughts. 

Research Positive Quotes this is one I do pretty often on Pinterest, whenever I start to feel a bit down or stressed I read up some positive quotes or sometimes even watch inspirational speeches on YouTube which I find really lightens my mood and puts me into a positive can do attitude. 

In the words of Demi Lovato Let It Go don't dwell on the past because it's exactly that, in the past. This also took me a long time to get to grips with and again think comes with age but it took me ages to think there is no amount of worrying that will fix a situation so let it go and what will be will be. Someone over opinionated, in a negative manner? who cares, that is there issue, don't let them get to you. 

I have to say I'm feeling pretty positive after writing this ! Maybe write a positivity post ? haha.

  1. Totally agree - I've seen so many negative things online recently and I just can't be bothered with it all! Love these ideas - I love a good positive quote, I have them all around my room!xx
