What a quick month February has been! It's been cold and wet for most of February but then there's not much change there living in Scotland. I'm such a winter girl but I'm really looking forward to the spring and summer to get rid of the rain for the most part.

I'm still loving all of last months favourites which you can read about here and using them on the daily, the other products I have been using everyday which I actually wanted to show some of last month too but like to keep the selection fairly small otherwise you would be here all day reading about my favourite products! Anyway.. February faves are...

Maybelline New York Bronzer in 'Blonde' this works great for me when i'm slightly paler or only want a very natural bronze as it's quite light and not super pigmented for that reason but I really enjoy using this for work as it's very natural and the added highlight to it gives a nice healthy glow

The foundation I have been using for quite some time is LA Girl Pro Coverage Foundation in the shade 'Fair' which isn't actually very fair I need to use this when I have a slight bit of fake tan on, have a read at my full review here

One of my favourite skincare items to use is eye cream, I never used to spend too much money on them but as soon as I went high end I noticed a vast difference in quality. I've heard so many raving reviews about Khiels products so wanted to give them a go and i'm not disappointed at all. I can't recommend the Khiels Creamy Eye Treatment enough, it has helped my dehydrated skin around my eyes and also feels amazing to put on.

Next up is my 2 In 1 Primer & Setting Spray by Rimmel this has seriously changed my make up game, my make up goes on so much nicer and gives a more flawless finish when using it as a primer and it also sets my make up really nice too, full review here

Last but not least are the Primark Lip Liners I also done a full review on these here as I wasn't sure if they would be any good but they are absolutely amazing. I wear these almost every day I just wish they had a bigger shade range, hopefully they will release more in the future.

What have you been loving this February? Let me know in the comments below

They say it'll be a yummy one cos' pancakes love Nutella!

How excited are you for Pancake Day on Tuesday?! I loooove making pancakes, there's nothing nicer than a fresh home made pancake with some Nutella so you can imagine I will most certainly be going all out on Tuesday yummm!

I much prefer the American style pancake to crepes, they're a bit more filling and look a bit more substantial to eat especially when they are stacked up! So this recipe will be for the American style ones as pictured which is really easy to make. Keep on reading to find out how to make them....

You Will Need 3 Large Eggs
115g Plain Flour
1 heaped tsp of Baking Powder
140 ml Milk
1 tsp Vanilla extract

To Make

1. Separate eggs putting the egg whites into a mixing bowl and the yolks into another bowl

2. In your mixer whisk the egg whites until they form stiff peaks basically until it goes white frothy and you can turn the bowl upside down without them spilling out

3. In your bowl with the egg yolks add the plain flour, baking powder, milk and vanilla extract and mix together until it forms into a batter.

4. Now fold in your egg whites to the batter mixture, be careful not to mix it through but fold in to keep the air in the mixture.

5. Heat a non stick pan on a low-medium heat and pour the batter in, I use a ladel to do this. They will need aprox 2 mins on each side. you know when it is ready to turn over as the batter will start to bubble slightly, this means its cooked and ready to turn

6. Keep doing this until the mixture is finished, this will make around 6-8 pancakes.

Enjoy with whichever topping you choose!

Too Faced Eye Palette for a Tenner

A Too Faced eye palette for a tenner? yes, really!!
I went in for a browse at TK Maxx to see what make up they had in stock, I never hold up much hope as nothing is ever my shade or products have been smashed or fingerprints all over it Ewww. When my eagle eye seen Too Faced I grabbed about 3 of these at the same time and checked them all, this was the only one in perfect condition. I was about skipping to the tills with this, one because it was too faced, two because I am an eye palette hoarder but three because it was a tenner! Just a tenner! I mean what?!
I've been getting quite lucky with my bargain finds in TK Maxx, you may have seen my Ted Baker Bag I got for half price. I fear I could be addicted with going there all the time now to see what other bargains I can pick up!
Aren't the shades lovely? There is a nice mixture of matte and shimmer shades and the last column can also be used wet or dry how exciting is that?! Can't wait to try that out. I think the shades I will use the most are Meow, Tigers Eye, Leopard and Panther. If i'm feeling bold I will use pussy cat at some point but it kinda scares me just now!
Upon swatching these shades which you can see below they feel so soft and creamy with a high pigment too them, I don't think you would even need an eye primer with this but I always use one just for longevity.
Have you tried any of the Too Faced palettes? Let me know in the comments below x

2 In 1 Primer & Setting Spray

A 2 in 1 Primer & Setting Spray? Sounds like a dream, well it is!
In all honesty I wasn't holding out too much hope on this as I didn't really think it would be much good as a primer as I've never used one in a spray form before but I love it, now I've just spoilt my thoughts but I can't wait to say how much I love it. I love it I love it I love it!
Why do I love it so much? Because it's quick, easy and good to take with you on the go. I moisturise my face as always before applying make up and once that has settled in I give a quick spritz of Rimmel Fix & Go and apply my make up as always and finish with another spray of this.

I have honestly noticed quite a difference in how my make up sits and lasts while using this and I haven't changed up any of my normal work day make up so the only thing that can be making it look that bit better is this beaut. My skin almost looks a bit more flawless and certainly feels it has more moisture in my skin and I don't go dry throughout the day.
I have normal - dry skin and this is seriously working wonders for me, I will for sure be buying more bottles, at £6.99 it's more than a bargain considering this is multipurpose use. Rimmel often have 3 for 2 or buy 1 get 1 half price at boots so you could pick it up even cheaper!
Have you ever tried a 2 in 1 spray? Let me know in the comments below

Blogging Desk Inspo

How many of you suffer with 'Bloggers Block' and just general lack of inspiration? Yep, me too! So I thought to myself what gives me inspiration? Cute girly instagrammable pieces which I think I can also make a blog post from too. Where am I going to see these cute instagrammable pieces? At my lovely desk where I blog!
Printiki got in touch with me to see if I would like to try out their prints which I thought was perfect timing as I can print all my favourite Instagram pictures and pin them or blutak them to my little board at my desk and look at all the prettiness to help get some inspo back to my blog. I'm pleased to say it has definitely worked as there were lots of pictures I had forgot about which has kick started some ideas for future blog posts, keep an eye out for them!

If you would like to get some prints just like mine you can do it super easy and cheap off Printiki here, you can sign in to your Instagram, Facebook, camera roll basically anywhere and select what pictures you would like printed in a range of options. I love that I printed mine with the little white border as it breaks the images up lovely when they are in a little collage like mine above.
As you can also see from my desk I have some little cute little bits and pieces on my desk to make it nice and pretty and a nice area which I actually want to sit at as that makes the world of difference to get you in the mood for blogging.
Let me know in the comments below what your top tips are for beating bloggers block and getting that inspo back?

Sanctuary Spa Foaming Micellar Water

If you had a look at my massive drugstore haul and have eagle eyes you would have noticed I purchased this foaming cleansing micellar water. I'm not sure if these are new or not but I've never had a foaming micellar water before and was super intrigued to find out what it was like.

First off the packaging is very Spa like as it should being Sanctuary Spa, very fresh and elegant looking.
I was really looking forward to trying this out as it was all very new to me and sounds pretty luxurious but I have to say I'm not full of raving reviews about this. It's good at what it does and feels quite nice working the foam into the skin but I don't feel it takes my make up off any where near as good as Garnier Micellar water. When using the Sanctuary Spa it feels like there is still some residue on my face and doesn't feel cleansed properly.
However this is nice to use in the morning to quickly cleanse my face when in a rush before applying my moisturiser and leaves my skin feeling nice and cleansed.
I probably wouldn't recommend this for taking off make up but if you are looking for something to use just in the mornings on a make up free face it's really good for that!
You can pick it up at Boots for £8.00.

Half Price Ted Baker Bag!

This is the sort of thing that happens when I go "browsing" in shops, I fall in love with items and when they are the last one sitting on the shelf well then I couldn't leave it behind could I ?!

I wandered in to TK Maxx and the first thing at the door were Ted Baker bags, not gona lie I just about passed out. I've been wanting a Ted Baker bag for the longest time but never wanted to splash the cash for one. This was the last one left in immaculate condition and I loved it then I looked at the price tag and couldn't believe the price, originally £160 down to £80, yes just £80 for this beaut!

I walked around the shop with it because I didn't want anyone to take it and had a look to see if they had any Ted Baker purses in stock which sadly they didn't. However, I glanced at this Dune coin purse (£12.99) and fell in love and thought it perfectly matched the bag and would fit really nice since the bag is smaller. I have a thing where I need to have a purse to match my bag please tell me there are other people out there like this?!!
After finding the purse it was a match made in heaven, they were both the last ones left it was meant to be, now in my safe little hands. I use these for my work on a daily basis and it works perfectly for me, the bag is just the right size it's not too big to gather loads of rubbish, you do need to be strict with how much you carry in this but it's also big enough for your essentials like 10 lipsticks that you NEED to carry with you.

This bag also comes with a shoulder strap which you can detach if you like but I keep it on as it's easier to carry when you have lots of shopping bags, just fling it over your shoulder and away you go!
Let me know in the comments below what the best bargain you have found is?

L.A Girl Pro Coverage Foundation & Pro Conceal First Impression

I don't think I have been this excited to try out a new foundation and concealer before, there has been so much hype about the new L.A Girl Pro Coverage foundation and I'm so happy to hop on the bandwagon with this one. Whilst I was at it I thought I may aswell team it up with the Pro Conceal which is more than likely supposed to be a match made in heaven with the foundation.

So what are my first impressions?

Packaging is simple, plastic, fairly cheap but for the price that doesn't bother me. The foundation has a pump yes L.A Girl and the concealer is a brush applicator as opposed to a wand.

Upon unboxing the foundation I instantly knew it would be too dark for me and is the shade Fair which I believe is the lightest shade out of the 15 shades they have in their collection. They do sell a White shade which is used to lighten foundations which are too dark but I mean for Fair to be the lightest shade and still too dark for me I'm not impressed with that as there will be a lot of people who have an even paler complexion than me.

The concealer looked the perfect shade when I first glanced at it and thankfully is, there are 21 shades in their collection so a lot more choice in comparison to the foundation. They also stock colour correcting concealers which are very popular and do actually work a dream for my dark circles so will be trying out the L.A Girl Yellow Concealer soon.

The consistency of the foundation is fairly thick but still runny, I would compare it to Nars Sheer Glow consistency. In my opinion, this is a medium coverage but buildable, however I tried this with a beauty blender and a brush building it up and I much prefer the outcome with the beauty blender as I felt it went slightly cakey with a brush. This foundation blends amazingly well with very little effort, although I had to put effort into blending it onto my neck because it was too dark but if you get the right shade it will take even less time.

The concealer is a fairly runny consistency and the applicator emphasises that with it being a brush, I had never used one like this before so was very unsure of it but oh my word it blends like a dream with amazing coverage and did not crease at all, this is unheard of for my fussy eyes! I blended this with a beauty blender, I didn't even attempt the brush.

I wore throughout the day for roughly 10-11hours which is pretty standard for me and they lasted sooo well, I have normal - dry skin and the illuminator within the foundation came out so well throughout the day and kept my skin hydrated and glowing. If you have oily skin you will definitely need to top up with powder touch ups or blotting and I would suggest not wearing a highlighter with this if you are oily skinned as it could make you look sweaty! I didn't wear any highlighter either but by the end of the day I looked more glowing than sweaty due to the dry skin.

I bought both products off BeautyBay, the foundation came in at £11.00 and Concealer £5.00 I feel like they are complete bargains, definitely affordable and I loved them, the only downside is the shade range in foundations whereby Fair is not really that fair! other than that I loved it!

Let me know in the comments below if you have tried these or what your favourite Drugstore foundation / concealer is?

DIY Valentines Chocolate Bark

Valentines is coming up so I thought what a great excuse to bake something and share my recipe but in all honesty I had zero creative thoughts and lacking energy so thought I would make something quick, simple and yummy..... Chocolate Bark.
I've never made this before but seen it everywhere and it looks ahhhhmazing, since Valentines is on a weekday aint nobody got time to be faffin' around so this is super easy and super quick especially for men! Girls, share this post with your man to hint if you would like this made for you this Valentines. Because I mean who wouldn't?!
All you need is your favourite chocolate, are you a Cadbury or Galaxy girl?! Some greaseproof paper (cling film will also work) and sprinkles.

Lay out your greaseproof paper or cling film on a tray and melt your chocolate over the hob or in the microwave which is what I done but be careful to bring it out every few seconds to stir so it doesn't stick or burn, bring it out as soon as its melted, if there are a couple lumps just keep stirring and they will melt in, no need to put it back in the microwave.
Spread out your melted chocolate over your paper or cling film in a rectangle shape and sprinkle those sprinkles! Pop into the fridge for a couple hours to set then break it up into pieces, ready to enjoy and indulge!
Let me know in the comments below if you celebrate Valentines?
