Without sounding super vain something I get comments on all the time is how are your teeth so white and how do you keep them so white and healthy?! Honestly, I whiten them, they haven't always been as white as they are now. My teeth were never super yellow which is why they are so white with the whitening and sometimes these things just work a lot better and different from person to person. As well as having white teeth you also want to make sure you have a healthy mouth to go with it and avoid getting the dreaded fillings!

So what whitening products do I use? Polanight. the best stuff I have ever used and honestly wouldn't ever go passed it, this is the same stuff the dentists use. I got a custom made whitening tray for my teeth and 16% Polanight whitening, the only downside now is the website I ordered from is now for dentists only and need a dental certification number. To give you an idea of doing it yourself vs going to a dentist, my mum got it done at the dentist costing in excess of £300+ I ordered a mould kit to do myself at home (which you then send to a lab to be made) and some whitening syringes for aprox £80, it was the exact same stuff the dentists use the only difference is you do the mould yourself.

I am always helping people with tips on keeping teeth white and healthy so when I was approached to try out the Janina whitening products and get involved in the National Smile Month I jumped on the chance to be able to share some tips with you on keeping your teeth white and healthy. I asked my husband to use the whitening trays so we could test out to the best of their abilities as you wouldn't notice much difference at all with my teeth. As you can see in the before and after pictures it's definitely taken away the surface stains but aren't white, I'd say they have lifted about 3 shades. This was also used in conjunction with the charcoal toothpaste, which I have also been using and definitely notice a difference in it keeping my mouth super healthy and fresh feeling but not much in whitening.

My other top whitening products I would recommend which I use are the Crest Whitening Strips and BlanX toothpaste or Colgate Max White Toothpaste, note the toothpaste will not whiten your teeth on it's own but if used with whitening strips etc it definitely gives maximum results.

Let me know in the comments below if you use any whitening products?

One thing I love to try out is different foundations, you may have spotted this in my beauty haul I done recently, linked here This was one of the main reasons I went in to Boots, to try this foundation out. I've heard such great reviews about cushion foundations and had high hopes.

The packaging is alright, a bit cheap and plastic but then it's just drugstore so can't judge too much by that but then there are also some flaws with the packaging. My shade is 01 but I peeled this off to be able to open it and it doesn't have the shade written on the back, on the boots website it gives shade names and not a number. It also states on the packaging it's an SPF29 but on the website it states SPF 25, hmm? I know that doesn't matter in the big scheme of things I'm just a stickler for detail.

On to the product, it claims to be a Dewy Glow Foundation and it most definitely is, this is so comfortable to wear and I recommend using your own brush or beauty blender as the face pad included isn't any good at all. It's quite a low coverage so great for the summer for a really light glowy look. Due to it's high SPF this is also great for the summer but not the best if you are doing anything photography related, i.e. I wouldn't wear this to a wedding.

I found this started to slide around my face towards the end of the day but then with it being a dewy foundation you should kind of expect that. I have normal to dehydrated skin so fine for my skin type or even dry skin this would be really nice. I'd say it lasted for about a good 5-6 hours on me before I would need to set again with some powder.

You can buy this for £14.99 at Boots, it comes in 7 different shades, all fairly light - medium shades nothing for darker skin tones which is a bit of a shame. You get 14.6g of product which is fairly decent for a product like this.

Let me know if you have tried this out in the comments below?

If you haven't already guessed by the picture it is my Mum's 60th Birthday today, Happy Birthday Mum. We celebrated this weekend by going to Dobbies Garden Centre on the Friday and I spent way too much but got some cute plants for outside my house and some indoor accessories including candles, obv. We also ate way too much cake at Dobbies but I mean it's essential when it's someones birthday right?!

I made my mums Birthday cake for a little extra special effort, i'm actually pretty pleased how it came out given it was a bit of a rush making it. I'm definitely going to practice making bigger cakes a lot more now I know i can do it and it wasn't terrible! Look out for some more recipe posts...

On Saturday all the family came around my mums house and we had loads of chinese food and a good natter, it was such a fun filled weekend, quite literally as I also got lip fillers on Saturday! I've been thinking about it for over a year but didn't want to rush into it and wanted to find the right place too and I finally did it!! let me know if you would want a full review on the process before and after pics etc and I will definitely do that.

Let me know in the comments below what you got up to this weekend, I would love to know.

The day I walk in to Boots and buy just what I am after is the day I think I will really worry about myself haha! I never come out with just what I need, there are always products that seem to jump into my basket and come home with me. I love trying out new products and new brands, I mean I kinda need to for my blog, right?! Girls, we all know the struggles..

So what did I pick up on my trip to Boots?

First up is the Oh K Sheet Mask this was right at the front door and I fell for it, I noticed it was new in and so I just had to try it out.

I knew I wanted to try the L'Oreal Nude Cushion Foundation so I picked that up and as it was 3 for 2 I picked up the L'Oreal Blush in shade 90 - Rose Eclat and a L'Oreal Lip Liner in the shade Perfect Red.

I then noticed the new Max Factor Bronzer so obviously as it was new I had to try it out, I picked this up in the shade 05- Light Gold. Sticking with face products i decided to try out a Sleek Blush as I've never tried blushes from this brand, I picked up shade Antique.

From Nyx I picked up the Nyx Butter Gloss in the shade Cherry Cheesecake which is such a nice summer shade, can't wait to wear it! I then picked up a new Nyx Lip Liner in the shade Pink Cantaloupe you can't have too many lip liners! I also picked up a Nyx Eyebrow Gel in the shade Blonde, I've seen many Youtubers use this so wanted to give it a go.

The last thing from Boots is a Rimmel Eye Liner in the shade 02 - Denim Blue i think this will look really nice teamed with the coral lip butter.

I was returning a couple of things to New Look and decided to look at their make up, they had a sale on some things so I picked up a Matte Lipstick in the shade Rose Quartz and a Eyeliner Pen in black.

Keep an eye out for some first impressions coming up on some of these products.

Let me know in the comments below if you would like to read about any of these products more in depth and my review?

Where did April go?! It's hard to believe that it's now May and we are almost half way through the year, like what?!

I've been completely absent from my blog and all social media for over a week now, not going to lie I have been absolutely loving it! I've been thinking about getting back on twitter etc during last week but have stopped myself doing it as I've been trying to get into a routine of exercise and losing weight which I am glad to say is working well. I've lost half a stone in just over a week purely by eating better and exercising everyday.

I know if I'm on social media or blogging I spend sooo much time on it that I just wont bother doing the gym because it then gets too late, excuse after excuse. The only way I was going to put my all into it was by coming off social media all together and focus all my attention on myself. I need to work on a tight schedule where I have time to blog and also exercise but also have a life at the same time, help me!!!

Coming up in a few weeks will be my mums 60th birthday which I'm really excited about albeit she probably wont be haha! We will likely just have a small family get together, nothing huge as she doesn't want a party or anything. I still need to figure out what I'm going to get her.

Would love it if you left a little comment with any hints and tips you may have for losing weight

I went in to Boots to get a lip liner and as usual come out with stuff I don't need or maybe i do need, definitely need. I'm not going to lie I looked at all the mascara's in this range then noticed they are giving one of these cute eye masks for free with them it totally sold me. Marketing works and it works extremely well with me.

The new Miss Baby Roll Mascara by L'oreal comes in 5 different options, Black, Black Waterproof, Lilac, Indigo and Teal. I went for black because I didn't feel brave enough for a coloured mascara but I'm now seriously thinking of getting the Indigo shade for my bottom lashes if I'm going to do a bit more of an 'out there' look.

I don't own a mascara like this with this kind of wand, I always think these fancy wands are a bit of a fad and don't pay attention to them, it's not what makes me buy a mascara. This mascara claims to:

" Our mega curl roller brush curls lashes from the root, for an instant lash lift! The quick mega volume formula volumises lashes and holds them in a curl all day"

I can definitely say these claims are true, I definitely noticed a lot more lift in my lashes and they were more curled. I don't have straight lashes though they are naturally a little bit more curled so can't say if this will work for sure on straight lashes. I really love this and can see myself repurchasing it.

Let me know in the comments below what your favourite mascara is?

As I was scrolling through my feed reading blog posts for inspo I read Rebecca's post (From Roses) which I have linked here. Rebecca talked about being an anxious driver and just passing her test, congrats! Highly recommend you give it a read if you are currently doing driving lessons or about to sit your test.

I took inspiration from this as I remember when I was doing my lessons and just passing my test that  it was absolute hell for me and I hated every.single.second.of.it. What would I tell myself if I was to learn to drive again?!

1. Relax

Easier said than done but just try to keep calm and relax and try to enjoy it. Everyone makes mistakes, everyone has to learn and start from somewhere. Try your best, get the most out of your lessons and relax!

2. Don't cancel bookings

This is one I done frequently, towards the end of my lessons I would cancel if I had a really bad lesson knowing I had another in 2 days time for 2 hours. I couldn't bear to think of going through it all again so soon. Do not cancel unless you absolutely have to, it drags it out even longer and gives you more time to panic over the small things. I would recommend getting lessons once or twice a week to get it done quicker.

3. It's OK to be anxious

I always felt like I was being an utter fool for getting so worked up and anxious before and after lessons and even once I'd passed my test for a good while I after. I hated driving, I was soo nervous about it all the time. I would literally sweat before a lesson or once I had passed my husband asked me to pick him up and i just burst into tears because I was so anxious about driving. I finally figured out that I didn't hate driving, I just hated driving a manual car and got an automatic which literally changed my life. I have now been driving 6 years and will drive anywhere!

4. Take someone calm in the car with you

We all know it's crazy expensive for driving lessons so it's great to go out with 'L' plates on with your mum / dad or partner to save money and get some experience. Take someone who is calm or even better someone you aren't as close to as you are less likely to argue or say you can't do it. My husband took me out a couple times and it was a disaster to say the least. He just didn't have the patience for it and was more worried about me damaging the car haha!

5. You can go for an automatic license

Now this isn't something many people advise and to be honest I am glad I didn't do my automatic license as i do have the option to drive a manual and learn again. As I have said, I was sooo nervous and anxious driving a manual that I knew I was a danger on the road. Yes, it comes with time and practice but for me it wasn't getting any better only worse. I knew I had to go automatic when I was driving (by myself) and my car broke down in a yellow box on one of the busiest junctions. Cars were beeping at me from every angle and I couldn't move the car. That to me was the last straw, I couldn't take it anymore and said I would never step foot in a manual car, 6 years later I've still never driven a manual again.

6. Focus on your own driving

This was something I did alll the time I would constantly be looking at my rear view mirror panicking that people were driving too close to me etc. My driving instructor always said to me to focus on what I am doing and where I am going not anyone behind me. Whatever happens behind you is their issue not yours, focus on what you are doing but still be vigilant we all know there are complete idiots on the roads.

7. Don't tell people you have your test booked

I told so many people I was going for my test and I got them all asking me when it was how i was feeling about it etc and it just added to the pressure and anxiety around it. It was even worse when I failed my first test and had to tell everyone, I decided not to tell anyone about my 2nd test apart from my husband and I'm sooo glad I done that because i didn't have that added pressure there. I did pass on my 2nd test!

Yes, you can! Tell yourself you can and will do it, give it your all and focus. When I done my 2nd test I was all ready to go with my examiner when another guy came out with a pin stripe suit and clipboard on him and announced, I will be coming with you to examine the examiner. He sat behind me in the car and for a split second I wanted to burst into tears but thought no, I can do this, I know exactly what I am doing just get it done and I did!

I hope this has helped some of you and let me know in the comments below if you have any tips if you are or were learning to drive?

I love homewear all year round but Spring homewear is just on another level. I love the white, pink and floral look which is everywhere at the moment. There is no better place to go for it than Primark, you get so much for your money which means I buy a lot more to change it around all the time oh how my husband hates it. Girls are you with me? I mean we can't have the same decor all year round can we?!

I recently done a '5 Things To Do in Spring' post and in there I suggested you do a Spring clean overhaul which doesn't just involve cleaning but changing up the decor, I always ensure my bedroom changes around frequently. It's where I take the majority of my blog pictures but actually spend a lot of time in there chilling out, it's a lot comfier than my sofa and it's brighter in there too which tends to give me a lot more ideas for blog posts, is that strange?

Everything you see in this picture, apart from the bed, side table and lamp and my little dog of course I am in love with this bedding though, it just screams Spring. The throw and matching cushion have pom poms around the outside, the bed cover itself is just plain white and cost me £ 12 for a king size, i know! how cheap is that? and it's actually not see through! Daisy also looks like she is loving the new bedding!

One thing I do need to add to my home is flowers and plants, I loooove tulips and daffodils throughout Spring along with some nice plants although I do struggle to keep them alive, someone please give me some tips!

What do you change in your home for Spring? I'd love to know in the comments below.

It's that time of year where the Easter baking starts again, rather than baking cupcakes I thought i'd do a tray bake as a little change and make it super Eastery! I had a look on Pinterest and took some inspo from there to make this sweet treat.

There will no doubt be thousands of calories in these slices but we're all allowed a little treat once in a while aren't we?! I had one slice of this and had to put it back in the fridge as I know I will be addicted to it so taking it in to work with me so I don't eat it all.

Keep on reading to find out how I made this....

You Will Need

400g Milk Chocolate
125g Golden Syup
140g Unsalted Butter
100g Mini Marshmallows
200g Digestive Biscuits
350g Mini Eggs
100g Mini Oreo Eggs (or any you like)
50g White Chocolate

To Make

1. Line a square tin with greasproof paper
2. Melt the milk chocolate, golden syrup and butter together

3. Crush digestive biscuits leaving them chunky and mix into the chocolate mixture along with the marshmallows, Oreo Eggs and Mini Eggs, note leave some mini eggs behind for decorating.

4. Pour into tin and press down and place in fridge

5. Melt the white chocolate and put into a icing bag, cut the tip of it off and decorate over your mixture from the fridge. Crush the remaining Mini Eggs and sprinkle over.

6. Place into the fridge for a couple hours to set then enjoy!

What do you think of this recipe? let me know in the comments below.

I love a good concealer and guilty of hoarding them, I mean lets face it i'm a hoarder of every type of beauty product but concealers just do it for me that sounds kinda weird. I think a concealer just completes everything making you look like you're an awake put together adult. In reality your dying inside needing 10 cups of coffee for your brain to wake up!

I've done similar posts to this where I battled out the bronzers and shared my Top 5 Foundations now I'm comparing the concealers.

keep on reading to find out which concealer comes out on top...

Maybelline The Eraser - Light - This is probably the darkest out of the six of them but surprisingly still works really well on my pale skin, it's very high coverage with a sponge applicator which i really like, although not always a popular opinion. As this is quite heavy I do find it can crease quite quickly under my eyes or if I don't set it properly. Costs £7.99

Urban Decay Naked - Fair Neutral - This is the most expensive one here coming in at £19.00. This is a super high coverage creamy concealer and is amazing for highlighting as it's such a nice light shade for me. I also use this to cover up any imperfections but doesn't work as good for those dark circles. you can see a High End vs High Street post i done on this here.

Bourjois Radiance Reveal - Ivory - This is one of my favourite under eye concealers, it's really hydrating and hardly creases on me at all, all concealers crease on my eyes but this one is minimal. It doesn't feel heavy but has the pigmentation to cover up any dark circles. Love this. Costs £7.99

L.A Girl Pro Conceal - Porcelain  - Another concealer I absolutely love, the only thing i'm not too keen on is the application as it's a brush like tip as opposed to a wand but this blends out beautifully and there are SO many shades to choose from. Read more of my opinions of this here Costs £5.00

Nyx HD Concealer - Fair, C2  - This is the only one i'm not overly fussed about, it's ok and it does the job but the packaging isn't the best. I've had 2 of these, one of them the little do foot applicator came out inside the tube and the other the black lid came off. The actual product is ok though it blends out really well and covers nicely but the others wow me a bit more. Costs £6.00

Collection Concealer - Fair - This is a staple product for me which I almost wear on the daily when I'm not trying out new concealers. I only use this under my eyes as it works so well on covering those dark circles up, there is a very slight pinky under tone to it when it starts to set in which helps cover the dark circles. It's highly pigmented and blends out beautifully, I feel like most bloggers are a massive fan of this beaut and it costs just £3.99 bargain

Let me know in the comments below what your favourite concealer is?

Now that Spring is finally on it's way, the weather is getting a lot nicer and nights are lighter for longer woop woop we can all get out and do more exciting things and still have time to take blog photos in the evening!

I've noted the top 5 things I want to do this Spring and it may give you some ideas and inspo of what you can do too!

1. Spring Clean Overhaul
Now I know what you will be thinking urghh Spring clean boringgg but whilst I get things all clean I also start to change up my decor from greys to pinks and florals making everything Spring like. There is nothing better coming home when it's light at night, the house is clean and your home is all pretty!

2. Go to Beer Gardens

Don't worry if your not a drinker, I'm not a massive drinker so sometime I like to opt for a refreshing mocktail or even a nice fresh juice. I also love a glass of  Prosecco or 2 so will be making the most of going to more places for a drink and bite to eat.

3. Have a Picnic

There is nothing nicer than finding some really nice gardens and having a picnic, it saves you a lot more money if you make it yourself which I find a lot more exciting too. As a dog owner it's also a lot easier to take a picnic with you as you don't need to worry about them causing chaos in Cafe's etc and you get space to yourselves whilst eating and relaxing

4. Bake some Easter goodies

As most of you will know I am a huge fan of baking, especially at Easter times. I swear Easter chocolate is the best ever! Why don't you try out some Creme Egg Brownies, some Easter themed cupcakes or some chocolate nests?

5. Get yourself Spring ready

When it comes to the Spring time I start to get my hair lighter and change up my make up from deep brown shadow's to shimmery pinks and tanned skin. I also get my wardrobe organised by putting my black outfits to one side and bringing in the light pinks and florals, take out the boots and in goes all the cute sandals.

What is your favourite things to do in Spring? Let me know in the comments below so i can add to my list.

Having thick course curly hair jeez I sound a delight I have tried my fair share of hair masks. Because I dry my hair straight ish a lot of heat goes on to my hair from intense blow drying and straightening it at the front, I usually tie it up on the daily because I don't have the time to do anything with it. My hair can get damaged pretty easily even with a heat protector, I get quite a lot of split ends and it's just quite dry.

I use hair masks for this reason, I don't use thickening products at all cos it doesn't need to get any thicker than it already is! Most hair masks I use are reconstruction masks or for dry damaged hair etc. If i mention a hair mask to people I usually get what is that and does it work. I hadn't realised how many people don't use a hair mask, to be honest there probably is a lot who don't need to use a hair mask with their sleek straight hair oh how I envy you.

I thought I would do a little review with my thoughts on hair masks and if they work for my type of hair. Short answer is hell yeah they work! As I said before, I stick to hair masks for dry damaged hair as that's what kind of hair I have so I can't speak for anyone with different hair types. I would honestly dread to think what my hair would be like without a mask, it gives it soo much moisture and leaves it feeling super silky once dry. I only use a hair mask once a week and wash my hair 3 times a week which has helped so much too.

I haven't come across my favourite hair mask as yet, although I really enjoyed the Lee Stafford Hair Growth range, it actually worked really well for me and my hair did actually grow. I'm currently using the Toni & Guy intense reconstruction mask and it's left my hair super smooth and silky although aint nothing getting rid of these split ends!

If you have similar hair to mine I recommend using a hair mask once or twice a week and you will notice a huge difference! Even just brushing your hair when wet after having a hair mask on there are very little tugs and the brush goes through a lot smoother!

Let me know in the comments below if you use hair masks or what your favourite hair products are?

First of all, excuse the horrible appearance of the foundation bottles, I did try to clean them up a bit but obviously not enough!! I thought I would share with you my favourite foundations as I done a 'Battle of the Bronzers' post of my favourite bronzers and that is one of my most popular viewed posts, i will leave a link to it here.

This was a tough one to wittle it down to just 5 foundations as I have so many that I like but these are the ones i'd say I am loving at the moment and have done so for a year or so now. I'd say I have repurchased all of these foundations apart from Estee Lauder double wear purely because you don't need much at all when using it.

No messing around, let's just get straight into what foundations I am loving...

L'Oreal True Match, 1.N Ivory

This is probably one of the most popular foundations, I first tried this around 4 years ago when I first started watching beauty youtubers and everyone raved about it I just had to pick it up. I don't think I could count on two hands how many times I have repurchased it, I absolutely love it. It's a medium coverage with a dewy finish but defo need a powder to set this as it can slide about if you don't

L.A Girl Pro Coverage, Fair

Yes, this shade is Fair. I know. Pale girls cry with me?! I have to use this when I am tanned as you can see it's far too dark for my pale complexion but that is the only flaw it has. This gives me such a flawless look with full coverage, see my full review here.

Revlon, Buff
I am soo glad that they finally put a pump on this foundation as it now makes it perfect for me! Revlon have such an amazing range of shades and finishes and because of this it's my go to foundation when i'm not sure what I want. This is a fairly matte finish as it's for oily skin, i meant to get it for dry skin as I have normal - dry skin but this still works absolutely fine for me, i just use less powder and top it off with a setting spray. This is a medium buildable coverage and lasts all day on my skin!

Nars Sheer Glow, Punjab

Ahhhh another cult fave, again I bought this because of all the You Tuber's and bloggers raving about it and it's definitely worth the hype for sure. This has such an amazing full coverage making me look flawless and airbrushed, it's a dewy finish which feels amazing on my skin. I wear this to weddings and nights out or events as you don't get any flashback with it and looks amazing in photography. I can't recommend this enough

Estee Lauder Double Wear, 1C1 Cool Bone

This is a super full coverage flawless foundation which again is amazing for events as it's long wearing although it doesn't do well in flash photography at all, it will leave you looking very pale faced! This can sometimes be a bit drying on my skin as my skin is normal - dry I need to keep it topped up with a dewy finishing spray. If you are looking for something that is quite natural and can't feel that you are wearing make up then this definitely is not the one for you. It's pretty heavy feeling on the skin but it does give an amazing flawless look.

What are your favourite foundations? Let me know in the comments below as I am always looking to try new ones out.

You all know how much of a fan I am of matte lipsticks or liquid lipsticks so when I noticed L'Oreal had released their new range of matte lipsticks I knew I had to get my hands on them. I initially bought 3 at first all pinky nudes what a surprise and loved them that much that I went to back to get another 3. Hence why the 3 pink colours are worn and the other 3 aren't in this picture.

I honestly think these are the nicest matte lipsticks I have ever bought, even over my Mac ones like whaaaat?! They are just so comfortable to wear and the longevity of them is amazing! The shades I picked up are:

103- Blush in a Rush
633 - Moka Chic
640 - Erotique
634 - Greige Perfect
227 - Hype
346 - Scarlet Silhouette

The formula of these are matte but not super matte like you would get in a liquid lipstick or Mac they are very creamy and probably more of a satin formula in Mac but just slightly more matte. They last sooo long throughout the day. I have been wearing 633 - Moka Chic to work everyday for the last 2 weeks and I have been drinking coffee / tea and eating my lunch and when i get home there is still some trace of it left on my lips and that's about 8hrs of wearing it.

I'm so glad I went back and picked up some other shades to try which aren't pinky nude shades as I think they will still be really wearable. I'm particularly excited to try out Hype for the spring and summer months.

You can buy these from Boots as they have a 3 for 2 offer on at the moment so I only had to pay for 4 of them! They are £6.99 each and have 16 shades available from nudes to reds to deep blue, I have left the link here for you to check out what other shades there are.

Have you tried these out for yourself yet? I really recommend you do!

I've been blogging for around 2.5 years now using a laptop and I found it was making my back sore from being hunched over or I would take it away from my desk and sit on the couch or lie in my bed and just procrastinate! Since I also work from home once or twice a week I felt I needed a solution to the aches and pains and help my concentration.

I thought since I already have a desk I should get myself a desktop computer but didn't want a big bulky base unit little did I know you can get all in one desktop computers now! I don't know where I have been when this was going on, I thought it was just an apple thing and I defo do not have the budget for that!

I'm sooo pleased with my cute desktop pc and of course it had to be white !! I opted for the HP basic model as it will do me for now, I didn't want to go all out in case I didn't like it or use it much. You can also get these in touch screen format which is very fancy, I just don't like the thought of touching the screen on something like this.

What have the benefits been you may ask?

It has definitely improved my posture and helped my back and shoulders from being hunched over

I can see things so much better and has worked wonders when I am editing pictures

I can concentrate so much more because I'm not constantly aware of my back aching or zooming in on everything to see things clearer

I actually want to sit at my desk and it makes me feel more in work mode and once i'm finished the computer gets turned off and i can relax then go on my phone on social media haha

What sort of computer do you work from? Let me know in the comments below

I done a High End vs High Street post back in January and it went down a treat, linked here. So naturally I thought I would do another one, this time on blushers. I specifically chose MAC vs L'Oreal as the blushes I have are very similar shades but do they have the same quality? keep reading to find out....

I actually prefer L'Oreal's packaging over MAC, it's a bit more sleek and fresh looking, MAC is in their signature black packaging which is fine just nothing fancy about it but then it's the product that really matters.

In terms of how much product you get, there is 6g in a MAC blush and 5g in a L'Oreal blush so not a huge difference. The shades I have in the MAC blushes are Peaches (coral shade) and Well Dressed (pink shade) and L'Oreal I have 160, Peach and 105 Rose Pastel. Not that it matters but the L'Oreal blushes smell amazing, they smell just like those little candy necklaces you used to get amazing.

MAC blushes will cost you a whopping £19.50 and L'Oreal is a much nicer price at £6.99, they often have 3 for 2 in Boots so definitely check that out and you could technically get yourself one for free.

Final Thoughts

As you can see from the swatches, L'Oreal is a lot more creamy and smooth for being a powder and they blend out beautifully. Mac are a little more chalky and powdery which you can also see from the swatches but these also blend out amazingly well too. You get a lot more colour pay off with L'Oreal blushes so if you like them more pigmented then these are the ones to go for. Mac are a bit more of a flush of colour but can still be built up. I much prefer the feel of the L'oreal blushes as they are a smoother texture and feel a bit nicer on my skin.

Have you tried any of these blushes? Let me know in the comments below

I can't believe how long it's been since I last made cupcakes and done a recipe post, the last one was way back in November!! I think that has probably been the longest time ever that I've not made cupcakes or some form of cake. Have a look to see my previous Nutella cupcakes here. They were soooo good but I think these Biscoff Cupcakes have topped them and maybe every other cupcake I have made! now that's a statement! They are caramel flavour, really sweet but not sickly, not for me anyway. These went down a treat with my family and friends.

Keep on reading to find out how to make these yourself....

200g Unsalted Butter at room temp.
200g Golden Caster Sugar
100g Self Raising Flour
150g Plain Flour
3 large eggs
100g Biscoff Spread (I used crunchy)
Splash of milk

300g Icing Sugar
50g Biscoff Spread
80g Unsalted Butter
Splash of milk

1. Pre heat your oven to 150c (fan oven) and line a muffin tin with cupcake cases

2. Cream together the butter, caster sugar and biscoff spread in your mixer

3. Add in your eggs and flour (sifted) and mix. My mixture was a bit too thick so i added a couple splashes of milk

4. Place in the oven for around 15 - 20 mins

5. Once cooked leave to cool and make your buttercream icing

6. cream your butter, biscoff spread and icing sugar together until light and fluffy, i left mine for 5- 10 mins in my mixer.

7. Once cupcakes are completely cooled pipe icing on to them and top it off with a Lotus Biscoff Biscuit

What do you think of these cupcakes? Let me know in the comments below x

Most of you will know I am such an Autumn Winter person, I just love everything about it but usually by now the weather is a little bit better and clearer. It's still cold windy and raining which I'm starting to get really bored with and just ready for the spring weather to come, I've made a list of 5 things I'm excited for Spring this year!

1. The Weather

As I said previously I don't mind the cold dark winter months but there is something nice when the lighter mornings come, I can get out my bed easier and start the day earlier. It's also much brighter for longer, as a blogger that is essential for our blog photos!

2. Fashion

I love the pastel shades that come out in spring, getting to wear nice little cami tops with some jeans and sandals. I also love when the flowy light weight trousers come in to fashion too as they are soo comfortable! I just can't wait for blush pink everything !!

3. Easter

I mean I don't know how I kept this one to number 3 because I loooove Easter, I love Easter chocolate, Easter baking, basically just everything about it. I can't wait to get making some Easter cakes for my blog so keep an eye out for those

4. Home Decor

You might be thinking really? Home decor? I love spring because there are sooo many pretty colourful flowers to decorate your house with and get some nice little plants to pop on your desk or use as blog props. I'm also a huge fan of clean white crisp bedding all year round but getting to add some pretty colourful cushions just tops it off for me! I also love room sprays in spring as they bring out so many amazing scents!

5. Make Up

Yes, make up has to be in this post, I just love all the spring beauty releases that are coming out, the packaging is always super pretty and the products are just amazing. I love when the new bronzers and blushes come out. I also love my skin so much more in the spring and summer months, it's a lot more glowy and dewy in comparison to it being dry and dull in the winter months.

What are you most looking forward to in Spring? Let me know in the comments below

One thing I always struggled with was making my make up look nice and last all day whilst wearing glasses. I've been wearing glasses for the past 2 years but conveniently forget to wear them a lot of the time because I don't think they suit me too much and they used to smudge my make up! I also never knew how to do my make up whilst wearing them.

After much research and trying out new looks I've finally come across a make up routine which I love to wear with my glasses. I still don't wear them all the time even though i really should because faces are just a blur when I don't wear them and I can't read signs, don't worry I always wear them whilst driving because that's just plain dangerous.

Anyway on to my make up look I wear with glasses and some little tips for you all too.....

I wear a really flawless high coverage base with amazing longevity which is Estee Lauder Double Wear this stuff doesn't budge which is great as you wont get left with make up coming off at your nose. Before I go in with my foundation though I use a yellow colour correcting concealer, my current favourite is by NYXthis reduces any dark circles I have as glasses cast a shadow you want to keep your under eye area nice and bright. To keep it bright I go in with Urban Decay Naked Concealer in a shade or 2 lighter than my skin tone.

You also want to ensure you set all of your foundation and concealer in place with a powder, I still don't have an absolute favourite but I switch between Rimmel Stay Matte and Ben Nye Banana powder.

For the eyes you want to keep them nice and bright, not too dark so I go in with a skin tone nude all over my lids with a taupe shade in my crease and that's it for shadow. To pull the look together and keep your eyes bold go in with a cat eye liner I either use the black shade from Too Faced Cat Eyes or use a liquid liner by Maybelline in a matte finish. For the lashes you want to ensure you curl them first as this will prevent them from catching on the lenses of your glasses and getting annoying! I also use a curling effect mascara which helps lift the lashes even more, I'm currently enjoying Bourjois Ultra Curl Mascara.

Let me know in the comments below if you have any tips for wearing make up with glasses

One thing I never skip in my make up routine is bronzer! I'm super pale and need it otherwise will get all the usual comments 'ooo are you not feeling well, you're so white' pale girls are you with me?! it gets rather irritating and makes me feel self conscious so I always make sure I slap that bronzer on. You can probably imagine I have tried numerous bronzers over the years so i thought i would share with you my top 5 bronzers that I love!

First up is Maybelline I just featured this in my February Favourites which i have linked here this is a great everyday natural bronzer which is in the shade Blonde. I use this if i'm doing a very natural make up look or for work as it's not ott. This also has the bonus of a little highlighter to the side which is also pretty amazing, it's nice and shimmery just how i like a highlight! At £7.99 can't really complain.

The bronzer that everyone knows and loves it's Benefit Hoola Bronzer I mean what can I say about this? It's pigmented, it's matte, it's just bloody beautiful! I love using this for a tanned been on holiday kinda look cos it just does that! This is the most expensive one but it's sooo worth it at £9.95 for a little 4g size like i have here or full size at £24.50

If you are looking for a really shimmery summer bronzed glow then Soap & Glory have your back. This teams up as a highlighter too and looks fab on the collar bone or even down your legs in the summer when you have those pins out! I absolutely love using this in the summer for such reasons, you can pick this up for £11.00 which may be more pricey than the others but it has many more uses than just bronzing those cheeks.

I would say out of all of the bronzers L'oreal is my favourite, this can be worn very natural for day looks or can be built up to be darker for wearing on nights out, it's extremely pigmented, matte and blends out beautifully. This comes in at £7.99 bargain

And last but not least is the Bourjois bronzer and highlighter, I really wanted just the bronzer but they were out of stock everywhere so I went for this. I'd still like to pick this up in just a bronzer as i really like it, i just don't use the highlight. This product smells ahhhmazing and it applies beautifully too, i need to build this up a little more than the others but I love it all the same. This one comes in at £7.99 on par with the others.

You can see from the swatches above that they are all different from each other and all have beautiful finishes and different tones which is great for me as I fake tan sometimes so I can pick and choose what I want to use when i'm more on the pale side and when I'm a golden goddess lol!

Let me know in the comments below what your favourite bronzer is?

What a quick month February has been! It's been cold and wet for most of February but then there's not much change there living in Scotland. I'm such a winter girl but I'm really looking forward to the spring and summer to get rid of the rain for the most part.

I'm still loving all of last months favourites which you can read about here and using them on the daily, the other products I have been using everyday which I actually wanted to show some of last month too but like to keep the selection fairly small otherwise you would be here all day reading about my favourite products! Anyway.. February faves are...

Maybelline New York Bronzer in 'Blonde' this works great for me when i'm slightly paler or only want a very natural bronze as it's quite light and not super pigmented for that reason but I really enjoy using this for work as it's very natural and the added highlight to it gives a nice healthy glow

The foundation I have been using for quite some time is LA Girl Pro Coverage Foundation in the shade 'Fair' which isn't actually very fair I need to use this when I have a slight bit of fake tan on, have a read at my full review here

One of my favourite skincare items to use is eye cream, I never used to spend too much money on them but as soon as I went high end I noticed a vast difference in quality. I've heard so many raving reviews about Khiels products so wanted to give them a go and i'm not disappointed at all. I can't recommend the Khiels Creamy Eye Treatment enough, it has helped my dehydrated skin around my eyes and also feels amazing to put on.

Next up is my 2 In 1 Primer & Setting Spray by Rimmel this has seriously changed my make up game, my make up goes on so much nicer and gives a more flawless finish when using it as a primer and it also sets my make up really nice too, full review here

Last but not least are the Primark Lip Liners I also done a full review on these here as I wasn't sure if they would be any good but they are absolutely amazing. I wear these almost every day I just wish they had a bigger shade range, hopefully they will release more in the future.

What have you been loving this February? Let me know in the comments below

They say it'll be a yummy one cos' pancakes love Nutella!

How excited are you for Pancake Day on Tuesday?! I loooove making pancakes, there's nothing nicer than a fresh home made pancake with some Nutella so you can imagine I will most certainly be going all out on Tuesday yummm!

I much prefer the American style pancake to crepes, they're a bit more filling and look a bit more substantial to eat especially when they are stacked up! So this recipe will be for the American style ones as pictured which is really easy to make. Keep on reading to find out how to make them....

You Will Need 3 Large Eggs
115g Plain Flour
1 heaped tsp of Baking Powder
140 ml Milk
1 tsp Vanilla extract

To Make

1. Separate eggs putting the egg whites into a mixing bowl and the yolks into another bowl

2. In your mixer whisk the egg whites until they form stiff peaks basically until it goes white frothy and you can turn the bowl upside down without them spilling out

3. In your bowl with the egg yolks add the plain flour, baking powder, milk and vanilla extract and mix together until it forms into a batter.

4. Now fold in your egg whites to the batter mixture, be careful not to mix it through but fold in to keep the air in the mixture.

5. Heat a non stick pan on a low-medium heat and pour the batter in, I use a ladel to do this. They will need aprox 2 mins on each side. you know when it is ready to turn over as the batter will start to bubble slightly, this means its cooked and ready to turn

6. Keep doing this until the mixture is finished, this will make around 6-8 pancakes.

Enjoy with whichever topping you choose!
