Beauty | Make Up Revolution Highlight Palette

Hello Lovelies,

Hope you are well and excited that it's the Bank Holiday weekend coming up yayy! I am SO ready for it, I've completely lagged in blogging this month so hoping I can get myself organised this long weekend and make May a good month :)

Today's post is about the Make Up Revolution Highlight Palette, you have no idea how excited I am to have this in my make up collection. I've had my eye on this palette for sooo long and it was always out of stock in stores. I didn't want to take the chance in getting it delivered just in case it smashed, but I have it now and I am not disappointed!

As you can see there is an ivory / gold shade, a pink shade and a lilac shade. All of which are stunning, I will say that the pink shade in the middle isn't as pigmented as the other 2 shades but that could be because my skin is so pale it doesn't show up quite as much.

This palette will definitely suit all skin shades, it will be subtle on pale skin but can definitely build it up and on darker skin tones it will look amazing - can't wait to use this when I get some fake tan on.

This cost me just £8 in Superdrug but technically I got it free as I bought it as part of a 3 for 2 offer. I think £8 is such a bargain though for 3 highlighters! If you are looking for a new highlighter I definitely recommend this.

Beauty | Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette

Hello Lovelies,

You may have noticed I have been absent on here for over a week now! I was off work last week and said I would get a post up every day whilst I was off, I didn't even manage one!! I was so disappointed with myself but I really wanted to relax and enjoy my time off. BUT I'm back Yayyy and today I am sharing the Rimmel by Kate Moss Sculpting Palette.

This has been my 'go to' palette for a few weeks now and I am loving it! The palette has a highlight, contour and blush which comes in 2 shades 'Coral Glow' & 'Golden Bronze' at a cost of £6.99 which I think is very reasonable and is often on offer for £4.99, bargain or what?!

The shade I purchased was 'Coral Glow' as I felt this would look a lot softer and natural on my pale skin. The contour and blush shades are well pigmented and very easy to blend out, they also feel very soft on the skin and not heavy at all. The only thing that lets this palette down for me is the highlight, I prefer mine to be super shimmery this just has a very soft glow which is great if that's your thing but I tend to go all out glitterball!

I love that it's the perfect sized palette for travelling, it wont take up any room at all in your make up bag and if you are travelling you don't need to carry around a separate highlight, contour or blush. Although for me I will always carry around the most giltterfest highlighter going haha!

Have you tried this palette as yet? Is it something you would try out? Let me know in the comments below.

Baking | Twix Cupcakes

Hello Lovelies,

It feels as though I've not baked in a loooong time so today I thought I would bake some cupcakes but didn't know what kind to make. I even tweeted that I had lost all inspiration so hopefully chocolate would help and it did! I made a wee cup of tea and had a twix with it whilst thinking what I could do and thought, what about Twix cupcakes?! Had never seen them before or even thought to do that but I am so glad I did - Yum Yum Yum! Want to find out how I made them? keep on reading....

You Will Need:160g Unsalted Butter
160g Caster Sugar
3 Medium Eggs
160g Self-Raising Flour
1tbs Vanilla Extract
4 x Twix

Buttercream Icing
150g Unsalted Butter
400g Icing Sugar
50g Cocoa Powder

To Make:1) Pre-heat oven to 150c and line a muffin tray with 12 cases

2) Mix together your butter and caster sugar until pale, I have a mixer which is SO much easier, I mix it for around 5-8 mins

3) Lightly whisk together your eggs and vanilla extract and pour into your butter mixture

4) sieve your flour and add to your butter and egg mixture and mix well until pale and smooth

5) pour equally into your cupcake cases and divide your Twix's into 3 and pop a bit on top of your mixture pressing in so it goes into the middle

6) Bake for around 10-12 mins until just cooked so they are still pale

7) To make your buttercream icing, simply mix your butter, icing sugar and cocoa powder together until smooth and lump free, be sure to sieve your icing sugar and cocoa powder beforehand.

8) once your cupcakes have cooled down, pipe your icing on and top it off with a little bit twix!

What are your thoughts on these cupcakes? I personally think they tasted amazing and if you eat them whilst still warm the caramel of the twix just melts in your mouth!
