Baking | Creme Egg Brownies

Hello Lovelies,

Hope you are all having a lovely Easter break, I wish it was a long weekend every weekend!
Seeing as it is Easter I thought I would bake up some brownies and share them with you. This recipe can easily be changed by taking out the Crème Eggs and replacing with some of your other favourite chocolate.

Keep on reading to find out how I made these tasty treats.

You Will Need:

185g Unsalted Butter
185g Dark Chocolate, best to use higher quality
85g Plain Flour
40g Cocoa Powder
3 large eggs
275g Caster Sugar
6 Crème Eggs

To Make:
1) Pre-heat your oven to 160c and grease a 20cm square brownie tin

2) Melt the butter and dark chocolate together, careful not to burn

3) Whisk together the eggs and caster sugar until thick and frothy, best to use an electric mixer as this will be sore on the arms!

4) Pour the cooled chocolate mixture over the egg mixture and fold in.

5) fold the flour and cocoa powder into this mixture. Tip, ensure the flour and cocoa powder are sieved to avoid any lumps

6) Pour into the baking tin and cook for 15 - 20 mins until almost set.

7) remove from the oven and place halved cream eggs over the top of the brownie mix and place back into the oven for a further 5 - 10 mins.

8) Ensure you leave to cool before cutting into squares otherwise it will end up in a mess!

What do you think of my Crème Egg brownies? Did you do any baking? let me know in the comments below.
