Beauty: Lidl's Chanel Dupe save £51

Hello Lovelies,

After smelling my lovely soon to be sister in law at Christmas I wondered what perfume she had on... I had an inkling it was Chanel so was hoping to get a squirt of it myself!

Turns out it wasn't Chanel at all but Lidl's perfume Suddenly Madame Glamour, I could not believe my sniff! Lidl? Perfume? surely not.... but yes for £3.99 you can get a Chanel Coco Mademoiselle dupe and it really does smell like it!

Ok ok it certainly doesn't have the staying power like a Chanel perfume would have but I mean it's £3.99 there are no worries at all about having to top it up every 3 hours.

I adore the packaging, it doesn't come across as cheap at all. I urge all of you to get down to your local Lidl and give this a go. This is great if you are on a bit of a budget or you just want a cheap perfume for work / uni / college etc...

Have you tried this perfume out? Let me know in the comments

Beauty | MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer

Hello Lovelies,

It's no secret that I am slightly addicted to matte liquid lipsticks so when the MUA Velvet Liquid Lipsticks caught my eye in Superdrug I knew I had to pick them up.

I bought them in the shades Reckless, Moxie, Kooky and Tranquility (L-R). I believe this range comes in 7 shades in total and costs just £3.00 each.

All shades in this range are very highly pigmented, they dry to a really nice matte finish and I didn't find them too drying on the lips, I always use a lip scrub and moisturise before using any matte products.

When using this product it does dry fairly quick so you need to get it on there fairly quickly, you wont need to rush too much. Like most matte lip products it's not buildable as it will just start to crack and go far too dry.

I used tranquillity to go out for a lunch and it lasted throughout eating, drinking and talking! I would say I probably got a good 5 hours out of it before it started to go a little patchy in places.

I highly recommend you go in and swatch them, only if you have money to burn because you will want to buy them as soon as you swatch it on your hand haha! Don't expect it to budge after swatching too, I had to scrub them off my hands! They have some serious staying power.

Let me know if you have used this product in the comments below?

Baking | Minnie Mouse Cupcakes

Hello Lovelies,

It's been a while since I've shared a baking post and I came across these beauts in my pics and forgot I even made these a few weeks ago. These are just vanilla flavour cupcakes with buttercream icing and mini oreos as Minnie's ears. Too cute. Keep reading to find out how you can make such cuteness...

You will need:

150g Unsalted Butter
170g Caster Sugar
170g Self-Raising Flour
3 medium eggs
1tsp vanilla extract

Buttercream Icing
140g Unsalted Butter
225g Icing Sugar
Mini Oreos
Pink bows (I used little butterflys as a bow)

To Make:

1) Pre-heat oven to 180 / Gas 6 and line a muffin tin with your chosen cupcake cases
2) Mix together butter and sugar until sugar has all melted in
3) Mix in your eggs to the butter and sugar mixture
4) Fold in flour (sifted) to your butter / egg mixture and then add in your vanilla extract
5) spoon the mixture into your cupcake cases evenly and pop into the oven for 10-12 mins
6) Start making your buttercream icing by mixing together your butter and sugar, you can also add in some vanilla extract if you wish
7) Pipe onto your fully cooled cakes and decorate with the mini oreos as ears and a little pink bow in the middle

Enjoy!

What do you think of these little cupcakes? I think they are super cute :)

Beauty | Mini Lush Haul

Hello Lovelies,

It's been a while since I have put up a post, work and life has just got in the way but I'm back!

I was in London at the weekend for my Husband's 30th birthday, of course I had to drag him along to the Lush store on Oxford Street, along with another million shops teehee!

I was expecting it to be big but I was totally blown away with how many products they have, my store in Edinburgh is a shoe box in comparison haha. I didn't go too mad in there as I had to get them back on the plane and was worried about them getting bashed but they survived!

The first thing I picked up was the Prince Charming Shower Cream as I have heard so many raving reviews about it I just had to have it.

I then picked up The Experimenter purely because it is very 'Instagram' it's just a bonus that it smells very relaxing.

Loverlamp really caught my eye too, maybe it's my white addiction but I'm not sure if I saw this last year so wanted to give this a go too

I have saved the prettiest one for last... Unicorn Horn - I didn't pick this up last year and was kicking myself that I didn't so I knew I had to get it this time, I just know I will be purchasing more of this.

What is your favourite Lush product? Let me know in the comments below what I should pick up

Beauty | Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream

Hello Lovelies, I thought I would share this Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream perfume with you all as my lovely husband bought me this for my Christmas. He gave them all a good sniff and picked this out himself, I can say he has done well with this one.

I am a huge fan of Marc Jacobs perfume, in particular their Daisy perfume, you will never be let down with their scents and cute packaging. I've never actually gave this perfume a whiff for some reason but I am so glad I am now a proud owner of this beaut.

This has a lovely fruity, floral scent with the top notes of blackberry, grapefruit and pear. The heart is Jasmine, Lychee and Blue wisteria  and the base notes consist of white Woods, Musk and Coconut Water. This is definitely more fruity scented with a hint of floral, it's very light and fresh - great for the spring / summer months.

What is your favourite perfume? Let me know in the comments below.

Lifestyle | Hello 2016 !

Happy New Year to you all!

I can not believe how fast 2015 has gone by, it's crazy! It has been a great but very stressful year for me and I am looking forward to this year.

I have a couple of exciting trips planned, I will be off to London on the 16th January for my hubby's 30th, a little surprise trip I have planned for him Yayy! We will also be off to Portugal in April with my husbands family, I am majorly excited for that and to get some sun ahh! I am looking to change up my car this year too as my lil Corsa is just too slow for me! Need for speed hah jokes.

The most exciting thing for me is that my brother is getting married this year and I will be a bridesmaid, I have never been a bridesmaid before so I am super excited about it all plus we may be going away for the Hen Do - major excitement.

I can't actually remember if I made any New Years resolutions for last year, looks like I deleted my post that's a tad worrying!  I know for this year I want to be able to try and relax a little more and stop stressing and worrying about every little thing. I also need to lose weight and tone up for all these holidays and wedding!

What are your plans for this year? Let me know in the comments below
