Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HG1JMB4/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B00HG1JMB4&linkCode=as2&tag=gilmcl-21&linkId=SSOXNF5MYWTJKOV3

I decided to jump on the band wagon and give the infamous Beverly Hills Contour Kit a go.
The packaging is lovely, very simple but classic and luxurious which I love and the rose gold writing on the front is just beautiful.

I bought this in the shade Light - Medium and the shades are amazing, I have very pale skin and this palette has worked so good for me, not too dark at all - Yay! So far, I have only used the banana powder and Fawn for contouring.

I've used this palette for a month now so have tried and tested for a while The banana powder works really well in setting my under eye concealer although I don't notice much brightness in it. The Fawn contour powder lasts all day, seriously. I put my make up on around 6.30 in the morning for work and don't take it off until around 7.30pm when I get home. The best staying power I have had so far whilst contouring - Bonus!

This product really does deserve all the hype it gets, I would recommend it to anyone. At £39 I don't think this is too much money at all for the high quality. I bought mine from Cult Beauty.

Loving Lately...

You may or may not have noticed that I haven't done my monthly favourites recently as I just feel that I'm loving the same things every month at the moment, I haven't really switched anything up in a while.

I'm going to give the monthly faves a break for the time being and instead share what I'm loving when I want to share

First up is MAC lipsticks in the shade Snob and Velvet Teddy, I seem to be using them constantly at the moment, I already need a back ups I've worn them that much.

These Malm drawers from Ikea have made my make up storage so much more organised and easier to find things, I just love them and wish I had bought them sooner.

Milk.... yes, I have always loved a little glass of milk but lately I have been craving a really cold glass, or bottle, of milk for some reason - who knows why!

MUA Highlighter - this is a gorgeous gold shimmer highlighter which works so well on my pale skin and also when I have more of a tan - I absolutely love this and think it's only about £3 - bargain!

What have you been loving lately? Let me know in the comments below <3

Sunday Funday: Cinnamon Swirls

I decided to make these yummy cinnamon swirls after seeing the lovely Laura post her pics on Instagram (@lelizaxo)

This is such an easy simple recipe which makes the most amazing cinnamon swirls - no more bought shop anymore! Read on to find out how I made these...

Ingredients

3 tablespoon Cinnamon
7 tablespoon butter
225g brown sugar
450g flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoon sugar
150ml Milk

Method:

1) Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees and put some tinfoil on a tray
2) place your cinnamon, 4 tablespoon butter and brown sugar in a bowl and mix well until crumbly
3) Scatter half of this mixture on to your baking tray
4) Place your flour, baking powder, and white sugar into a bowl
5) melt the remaining butter in a separate bowl then add to your dry mixture
6) Add 150 ml of milk and mix well until it forms into a dough
7) Roll the dough out onto a clean surface into an even rectangle shape and 1/4 inch thick
8) sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon filling evenly onto dough and roll the dough from one end to the other
9) Slice the roll with a sharp knife into individual rolls (makes around 10-12)
10) place them onto your baking tray and bake for around 15-20 mins
11) drizzle icing sugar mixed with milk over them once cooled down

Nars Creamy Concealer: Chantilly

It feels rather strange to be writing a post as I haven't blogged in over a week, various things just got on top of me and I just didn't have any energy to be writing posts. I'm back now though and hope to be back on a schedule!
I decided to buy the Nars Creamy concealer in the shade Chantilly after reading so many raving reviews on this and I am not at all disappointed. I am really pale, this is the lightest shade in the range and is perfect for my skin tone. It doesn't fully hide my dark circles as it is a yellow tone concealer but it does wonders in highlighting and covering pores etc.

This has got to be the best concealer I have ever tried to date, it's high coverage and blendability (making up words now) is just amazing. It doesn't go cakey at all, I have noticed it can crease sometimes if I haven't used my eye cream but all concealers will do that anyway.

The packaging just tops it off for me, it looks so luxurious and elegant with it's black velvety feeling lid and the glass like tube - it's just perfection.

Have you used this concealer? What's your favourite? Let me know in the comments below.
