Sanctuary Radiance Exfoliator

Hello Lovelies,
I've been using this little beauty for a couple of weeks now and really enjoyed using it.

It states it 'refines & evens skin tone for a lasting glow'

This has certainly made my skin feel a lot cleaner due to the little beads that are through it which acts as the exfoliator. I haven't noticed a massive difference in my skin having a glow so I wouldn't buy this product purely for that. It really does make my skin feel extremely fresh upon using which I love.

Overall I am really pleased with this product and will continue using it, although it doesn't make my skin feel glowing which is what the product states so that's a bit of a shame.
Let me know if you have used this product before or if you can recommend any other exfoliating products out there?

Sunday Funday: Daisy Cupcakes

Hello Lovelies,

Today I wanted to do a little bit baking so decided to make these cute little daisy cupcakes with white chocolate buttercream icing. YUM!

If you would like to make these too I have left my recipe below (well not really mine, google searching!)

Cupcake Ingredients:

170g Marg or Butter (I use Stork)
170g Caster Sugar
170g Self-Raising Flour
3 medium eggs

Vanilla Extract

Buttercream Ingredients:

140g butter (again, I just used stork)
225g Icing Sugar

300g White Chocolate

Recipe:

1) Pre-heat oven to 200 / Gas 6. Line a muffin tin with your chosen cases (you will need about 10-12)

2) Mix together butter and sugar until sugar has all melted

3) In a separate jug crack 3 eggs and lightly whisk

4) Gradually fold in eggs and flour (sifted) to the sugar and butter mixture & add in a teaspoon of vanilla extract

5) Spoon the mixture into cupcake cases evenly and bake for 10 - 15 mins, turning half way through.

6) Leave to cool and make your buttercream icing

7) Melt chocolate in micro or over the hob and leave to cool (don't let it set)

8) In a bowl cream butter and sieve in icing sugar until smooth and lump free, add the cooled down white chocolate and mix in.

9) Pipe on to cooled cupcakes and get as creative as you like! All that's left is to eat them.

Hope you liked this post, let me know if you have any baking recipes - I'd love to make this a new feature in my blogs

Empties #1

Hello lovelies,

I had a few empty items lying around so thought it was about time I done my first empties post!

BareMinerals Prime Time Neutralising

I love Bare Minerals primer, this has lasted me ages! It definitely neutralises any redness I may have and used it when I had no make up days too.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

Omg if you have not smelt this you have to go and give it a whiff! This is my all time fave perfume, it's just so expensive. Hoping I get another one for my birthday.

Nivea invisible deodorant

I wear a lot of black to work and this is the best deodorant because it doesn't leave any white marks on your clothes at all, love it.

Maybelline Falsies mascara

You can read my review on this mascara here. I have now re-purchased this a few times now.

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter

I think everyone loves Soap & Glory especially the righteous butter, this was just a mini tub as I got it as part of a pack so I need to go and re-purchase a full size tub.

Do you love any of the above products? Leave some suggestions below for primers too.

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

Hello Lovelies,

You should all know where the above saying comes from!

I have recently been obsessed with pink nail polish, I need to stop buying them but they are just too pretty! I use shellac / gel polish now as I have my own UV lamp etc and it lasts me a lot longer than regular nail polish. If you are interested in how to do your own shellac I have listed a previous post where I talk about it here.

So without further ado, see below my faves listed from L-R

CND Cake Pop - light baby pink
CCO - Rose Bud - light pink but more vibrant
CND - Sultry Sunset - metallic pink
CND Tutti Frutti - Bright Pink (no shimmer - looks like it on pic but there is no glitter)

If you are feeling bold or a little creative you can add some glitter to the ring finger (or all of them if you like - can never have enough sparkle!)

Let me know what your fave shade is.

My Valentine's Day

Hello Lovelies

I had the loveliest surprise gifts from my husband. I said I only wanted flowers (and I do really mean that - I'm not the sort that says it but expects more). So when he had this lovely little set of chocolates, perfume and a teddy along with roses I almost cried - so soppy haha!

We just spent the day chilling out, I had my mum and dad over for dinner as we don't usually go out for dinner on Valentines. We had a really nice meal and then I ate far too much chocolate later along with some marshmallows mmmm.

What did you get up to this Valentine's? Hope you all had a lovely day!

My Current MakeUp Storage

Hello Lovelies,
I thought I would share with you on how I store my make up purely because I am always looking for new ideas so thought this may help some fellow bloggers.

All my storage items are clear acrylic, bought off Ebay or Muji - they are super easy to clean and you can see exactly where everything is.

First up is my make up brush holders, I have 2 of these but don't even have 1 filled - what an excuse to buy more brushes!
They have 3 little sections to it which can be taken out and made into one big rectangular pot. I love how this has sections because I can keep all my face brushes together and my eye brushes together without them all getting mixed up.

This is such a handy little container for cotton buds / Q-tips, keeps everything nice and tidy and matches my other storage (I have a thing for stuff having to match!) I really want one for cotton pads too so they aren't lying around all over the place.

This is one of the storage units where I keep my make up and each drawer is used for different products from concealers - mascaras - eye palettes etc.. On the top is a section for lipsticks to the right, the left is just an open area where I keep larger items like make up remover, setting sprays etc. Up to the back of this is a section which fits foundations and I also keep my lip liners there too.

Since I have started blogging my make up collection grows so quickly I find myself running out of space, I really need a storage set with deeper drawers to store bigger items like the Make Up Rev - Blushin Hearts and eye palettes etc..

I have noted some links below to the items I have here:

Desk Pot

5 Drawer Box

Hope this has helped some of you and let me know how you store your make up?

My Love for Collection Concealer

Hello Lovelies,

After reading all the hype about Collection concealer I decided I would give it a go myself and I am not disappointed!

I bought the shade fair which I believe is the lightest shade, I use this when I have fake tanned and it's perfect. Unsure how it will be when I have no fake tan on as I am quite pale and concealer should be a shade lighter so not sure it would work.

Collection concealer has a really nice consistency it's not too thick and not too runny, it also blends extremely well and I have no cakeyness with it at all.

Overall, this is a great cheap concealer which is good quality for it's price. The only downside is that there aren't many shades available so not everyone will be able to use this.

I definitely recommend you try this out and hey even if it doesn't work for you for whatever reason at least it hasn't bankrupted you!

*I'm wearing this in my blog photo to the right*

Have you tried this concealer? what are your thoughts? Have you tried anything else from Collection?

Love for Make Up Rev Blushing Hearts

Hello Lovelies,

As it is February and nearing valentines I thought this product would fit in nicely.

Can we just take a moment to admire the packaging.... super cute!

Make Up Rev never fail to amaze me with their products and this is no exception. It's a triple baked blusher which has a pink shade / a pinky coral shade and a coral shade. When mixed together it is a coral shade with a hint of pink through it and is just gorgeous. This is so blendable and you don't need a lot on your brush to get a good coverage. You can certainly build this up to be vibrant if that is the look you want but personally I think this is really good to give your cheeks just a hint of colour.

This costs £4.99 and there are 5 other shades to choose from - I know I am certainly going to be purchasing more. They also do highlighters and bronzers in this range which I am also going to be picking up as I am so impressed.

Have you tried anything from this range? will you now purchase after reading?

January Favourites

Hello Lovelies,

Can you believe it is now February?! Crazy. January just flew by so quickly and it's that time again to show my faves of the month.

Garnier Micellar Water
Review Here
I have used this every day this month - I just love it, it's so gentle on the skin and doesn't irritate my eyes one bit (I have very sensitive eyes)

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
I use this all the time! It is my absolute fave setting powder and lasts for ages. Couldn't recommend this enough :)

Nyx Matte Finish Setting Spray
Again, I use this every day to set my make up in place and I can definitely tell the difference if I forget to put this on as my make up doesn't last anywhere near as long.

Bed Head - Headrush
This spray is sooo good for my blonde hair, it adds shine without it going greasy and it smells amazing!

Nyx Jumbo eye pencil - Milk
I have recently been using this in my lower waterline and it definitely opens up my eyes a lot more - I used to use it as a primer for my eyelids which works really good - I find my eyeshadow is more vibrant if I use this as a base.

Ghost Eclipse
Ahh I just LOVE this perfume, I have used it every day since I purchased it a couple of weeks ago - this is such a good dupe for Dolce & Gabanna light blue, they smell really similar. Ghost just have a better price tag!

Make Up Revolution Salvation Palette
I have been using this palette quite a lot lately - I find this would be a really good palette to travel with as it has shimmer and matte shades in it. I have left some swatches below so you can have a look

Do you use any of these products? What are your Jan faves?
