What's In My Bag!

Hello Lovelies,

I just love reading and watching 'what's in my bag' blogs and videos. For one, I love handbags. I also love to see what people carry around :)

This is an honest review of my bag at the time of taking pictures!

My BagMichael Kors Jet Set Medium Tote in Fuschia
Contents

Michael Kors Purse in Fuschia
Yoghurt & banana (uneaten lunch!)
Gloves to keep me warm
Diary - essential for planning
Lint roller - obsessed with making sure my clothes are clean!
Tangle Teezer - Life saver!
Toni & Guy Hair gel - this is not mine haha - my husband put it in my bag while we were going out
Umbrella - essential for Scottish weather
Receipts & tissues
Perfume & Deodorant - a girl needs to smell good!
Throat spray - been in my bag ever since I had the flu 3 months ago
Phones, Keys and Chewing gum - all necessities

What my bag now looks like after a little clearout! Should do this sort of thing more often haha!

You will notice that I have no make up bag!! Which is probably such a shocker for a beauty fanatic but to be honest, I apply my make up in the morning for work and I never top up my make up during the day, purely because I am far too busy to even think about it haha. My bag is also fairly small and takes up so much room. When I am out and about at the weekend I just take some powder and lippy :)

I really hope you enjoyed reading this and having a good nosey! Link your blogs or you tube below if you have done this - would love to read!

Current Fav Hair Products

Hello Lovlies,
I have been trying to take care of my hair a bit more since having it cut shorter and coloured a lighter blonde. I wanted to share the products that I have been loving this past month and they are all excellent for blondies!

First up is Silver Blond by Wella - I got this at my hairdresser as she recommended it to me to keep my lighter hair from getting brassy tones through it. This absolutely works and keeps my hair so bright - I was a bit worried when I saw the purple shade of shampoo but it quickly lathers in and smells devine!

Now on to dry shampoo - I have never been a massive dry shampoo person as I am always worried people will be looking at my roots like urgh, do you not wash your hair properly lol! I used batiste and thought it was ok but came across this and this is so much better for me - the texture of my hair still feels soft after using this and the smell is also amazing. It does still have that slight dry shampoo smell to it but it doesn't cling to your hair.

After reading so many great reviews about the fudge raspberry and vanilla hairspray I just had to try it and I am so glad I did. It is a really light hairspray - I wouldn't say it's a strong hold but it still keeps volume in hold and easy to brush out and doesn't leave your hair greasy at all. Amazing!

I have been using a serum a lot lately as I feel it keeps my hair from going frizzy ( I don't actually know if that's its purpose) It certainly keeps my hair smooth and silky though. This Toni & Guy one works really good in my hair although I find it hard to wash off my hands.

Tigi BedHead Headrush - OMG this stuff smells ridiculously good - seriously. If you have never smelt this you are missing out haha! Being a blonde I find it hard to get my hair looking glossy and shiny and this stuff certainly helps a lot, especially in the summer when the sun hits my hair. Can not recommend this enough - it's like a perfume for your hair !

Hope you enjoyed the read - if you have any serum recommendations, leave them in the comments as I really want to try more.

I wanted to switch up my blog a little and have it a bit more versatile without coming away from beauty so thought why not share with you my everyday make up look?

This is just a very quick and easy neutral look which I wear everyday to work - if I had the time I would spend a lot more on my make up but I much prefer to have extra time snoozing! I mean who doesn't?!

Just a little haul!

Hello Lovelies,

So I just got paid and what does that mean? Shopping!!! I did hold back a little though as I have spent a lot over Christmas and at the sales. So without further ado, read on to see what I purchased.

Yankee Candle
Citrus Candle - exactly what it says on the 'jar' such a fresh citrus scent, love it

Carmex lip balm in peach
This is a lip balm with spf and a hint of colour to it, never saw this before or tried it out so excited to see what it's like.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
Heard so many reviews on this I just have to try it out

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Again, heard so many good reviews on this

Rimmel Scandal eyes mascara
Love trying out new mascaras and the colour jumped out at me so I bought it. simples. hehe.

Benefit Porefessional
ahhh finally got it! Just a miniature size though.

B.Pure Micellar Water I have been loving Garnier Micellar water (Review here) so thought I'd try out another brand

B.Nourished - Night time serum
This helps to keep skin looking younger and all that good stuff so will try and test it out - watch out for a review.

Blackhead clearing scrub
Nice! I really needed one though as my skin has started to get a lot more blackheads for some reason - no idea why! hopefully this will fix it :)

Ghost Eclipse Perfume
Saw this in Zoella's favourites so obv had to buy it and it was only like £12 in Boots sale - go check it out, it's like a dupe for Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue I think.

Have you tried any of these products? Let me know your thoughts!

Liz Earle Bodywash

Hello Lovelies,

I got given this Liz Earle body wash for my Christmas and my eyes completely lit up when I unwrapped it as I just love Liz Earle's skin care products.

I used it that evening as I couldn't wait to try it out and I was sadly just a tad bit disappointed. It lathered up really good but there just wasn't much scent there, it was very subtle. I guess if you don't like strong scents then this is absolutely for you, but for me I really like a nice scent and come out the shower smelling of it even hours later.

It may be that it's just that specific scent of Liz Earle's range that isn't overly perfumed and the others may have nice scents to it.

Let me know if you have tried the shower gels and what you think?

All About Foundation: L'Oreal True Match

Hello Lovelies,

Do you ever just feel overwhelmed when browsing for a new foundation? So many different brands to choose from, different textures, and of course... what shade to choose! This was my biggest dilemma until I found Findation. This website has every foundation and shade (I think) online, you can choose which foundation you currently use and then search which shade you will be in all other foundations. I've used this a few times and it has always been spot on.

I have tried and tested so many different drugstore brand foundations and always been slightly disappointed - too thick, too oily, not enough coverage the list goes on. However I didn't have the make up brushes then that I do now so I may need to do some re-testing, what a great excuse to buy more make up :)

Until I do some re-testing I wanted to share with you L'Oreal True Match - this is just my best friend right now! I use shade D3.W3 Golden Beige. The consistency is quite runny but don't let that put you off as the coverage is so good, you could make this foundation a 'no make up' look or you can build it up to a medium coverage without it going cakey. I wouldn't class this as a full coverage foundation just because it's not thick enough like Mac etc to get that look but it gives an extremely good medium coverage.

There are 18 shades available, it's oil free and has SPF17, this retails at £9.99 which is a great price and lasts a long time.

Have you tried this foundation? What is your favourite foundation?

Make Up Revolution Blush Palette Review

Hello Lovelies,

Hope you are all well.

I really want to share with you the Make Up Revolution Blush palette in 'Sugar & Spice'.

Can we just look at how gorgeous these shades are?! Now if you don't like pink blushes then this palette is not for you although they do another one in 'Hot Spice' (link here) which is a blush and contour palette and 'Golden Sugar' (link here) again, this is a blush and contour palette.

There are 8 shades and I use the top right shade for highlighting which works amazingly well. They are all highly pigmented and blend extremely well. I did have a little bit of a mishap by putting too much on my brush and had bright pink cheeks! Taught me not to underestimate cheaper products.

This costs just £6.00 - I recommend you pick up one of their blush palettes as you are getting soo many different shades for such a good price.

Swatches are from left to right of the palette

Have you used this palette? Will you use this palette? Let me know your thoughts.

Maybelline Lipstick Review / Mini Collection

Hello Lovelies,

I wanted to share with you my mini Maybelline lipstick collection as I have been loving them at the moment and use them every day.

They have such a massive variety of shades and definitely something for everyone. I love that they are super easy to apply and some of them actually have a nice scent!
The lighter shades and shimmery shades tend to wear off fairly quickly but I find that with most brands when they have shimmer through them. The more bolder and brighter colours do last a good time.

I have pictured the shades I have and also a swatch of each one:

My favourite is Velvet Beige at the moment as it's great for just every day wear and goes with any make up look. I listed this in my December favourites post which you can view here

Have you used Maybelline lipsticks? Do you have a favourite shade?
